Is my family's medical data private with Uslo?
Yes. Uslo doesn't store your data. Everything lives on your device and syncs only through your personal iCloud account. Uslo never receives, sees, or has access to your records.
Does Uslo have a subscription?
No. Uslo will be a one-time purchase. There will never be a monthly or annual fee and no paywalls behind the initial purchase. We're currently in TestFlight with a small number of users at no cost.
Is Uslo HIPAA compliant?
HIPAA governs healthcare providers, insurers, and their business associates, not personal apps used by individuals to organize their own family's records outside of a provider relationship. Uslo isn't a HIPAA-covered entity, but its local-only, no-server design limits data exposure regardless.
How does Uslo scan medical bills?
Point your phone's camera at a bill or document, and Uslo reads the text on-device and files it under the right family member. No manual data entry required.
Can I share medical records with my spouse or co-parent?
Yes. Uslo uses Apple's CloudKit sharing to give a spouse or partner access to the same family records through their own iCloud account, with no third party involved.
Does Uslo use AI to read my documents?
Uslo uses on-device text recognition and on-device speech recognition. Nothing is sent to a cloud AI service or any third-party model, the processing happens entirely on your phone.
What happens to my data if I delete the Uslo app?
The local copy on that device is removed. Anything synced to your iCloud account remains under your control through Apple's iCloud data management tools, independent of the app itself.
